Amanda is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been practicing since 2016. She is an integral part of our practice and enjoys the fast-paced environment. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, sports medicine, and advanced wound care.
Amanda is certified in FMT Blades which combines the concepts of movement therapy and performance enhancement with gentle soft tissue techniques. The term IASTM or “Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation” is commonly paired with the image of steel tools and deep tissue work. This can occasionally cause redness and bruising on the skin but has demonstrated beneficial outcomes in rehabilitative settings.
In her spare time outside of work, Amanda enjoys dancing, hiking, and taking long naps. She is also highly involved in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a committee member and looks forward to rodeo season every year.
Rehabilitation is a vital part of recovery and returning to a healthy physical lifestyle, and we want that to be available to as many people as possible. We work with the following insurance companies to make that happen. This list is not entirely inclusive of all the plans we accept and we are constantly expanding our network, so please let us know if you have a different provider than what is listed. We are committed to making the process of getting started easy, from figuring out insurance and other documents to getting you on the schedule.
