How will Physical Therapy continue with Telehealth?

Crom Rehabilitation has employed a HIPAA-compliant electronic appointment system which includes secure video and phone based appointments to provide physical therapy services. Patients do not require any special equipment, and as always, we will tailor physical therapy to the needs of each individual while taking into consideration any changes to routine caused by the current COVID-19 situation.

Crom Rehabilitation will contact your health insurance provider to verify your telehealth benefits as they are constantly changing in response to the current state of the pandemic.

Who is eligible for Crom’s Telehealth Services?

We will be providing access to as many people as we can reasonably accommodate. That includes patients in the middle of ongoing treatment as well as new patients that come to us during this time.

For ongoing patients, please reach out to us to discuss your situation and how you would like to proceed with physical therapy during this pandemic. For new patients, we will discuss your options during the initial evaluation and subsequent visits which can be conducted online.

Note: If patients do not yet have a prescription for physical therapy, our clinicians can work with them for up to 10 consecutive business days while they attempt to secure a prescription from their physician or referring provider.

Regarding the Future of Telehealth at Crom Rehabilitation Clinic

At the moment, we are offering telehealth as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand that for many patients, physical therapy is an important step on the road to recovery or towards realizing their full physical potential. Missing out on weeks or months of therapy could make it extremely difficult for some patients to maintain momentum, and for some the halt of progress can also lead to a decline in everyday functional activities of daily living.

Crom Rehabilitation is invested in maintaining normalcy through consistent scheduling and ongoing service to preserve both our patients’ physical and mental health. We also strongly support quarantine regulations in place as they will ultimately lead us to a healthier future after this crisis. Once the pandemic ends and businesses begin transitioning back into their regular operations, we would be more than happy to transition those telehealth patients to in-house for their physical therapy needs.

Yes, we will continue offering telehealth services for all individuals in the state of Texas. Working with patients on a more flexible and option-driven field means that we’ll be able to provide a greater range of services to people who may not otherwise have access to physical therapy.
